BEE Group provides technical and research support in Data Spaces

Data is reshaping the way we produce, consume and live, and is a key ingredient for innovative products and services. Data spaces are extremely valuable for society in improving decision-making in multiple strategic fields.

The BEE Group explores new use cases in the application of data spaces to develop, test and deploy interoperable services to path the way for energy transition and facilitate decision-making on all issues related to energy efficiency, reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, increase of renewable generation, efficiency in water management, or the adoption of protection and adaptation measures in facing of extreme weather events.

Data Spaces

Data spaces represent a trusted, interoperable, and governed environment for sharing and collaborating with data across boundaries while respecting data sovereignty and security. They provide an optimal ecosystem and marketplace for the secure exchange of data and applications, enabling seamless data flow across organizations and companies. This setup supports the implementation of complex use cases within interconnected networks.

It includes data-sharing tools and services, a decentralized approach, fair and transparent governance provisions for data access and provisioning rights, as well as standards to improve the availability, quality and interoperability of data.
