Biomass to Resource
IKIAM Universidad Regional Amazónica
The research group Biomass to Resource of the Regional Amazonian University IKIAM, has started a project led by our colleague Jaime Martí, for the treatment of wastewater. The pilot project initiated at the IKIAM university is able to treat 25% of the wastewater of the university using biodigesters and wetlands.
The experience and the satisfactory results of this pilot project have made it possible to initiate a project to implement the same wastewater treatment system in the indigenous community of Huamaurco at the domestic level.
